The
1920’s are coming back in full swing (pun intended). After The Great Gatsby
came out featuring the oh so glamorous duo of Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan, the flapper dresses and feathers were everywhere.
The glitz
and the glamour of the 1920’s is without a doubt inspiring and something to
lust after but let’s be honest it’s not very wearable. If you walk out into the
real world looking like a guest of Gatsby’s great parties you will get looked
at strangely. There is nothing wrong
with wearing it to a costume party or themed party, I have seen plenty of those
lately. My Halloween costume this year was a feather boa, crystal headband-wearing
flapper.
I felt
completely glamorous and in touch with the 20’s. I love the idea of dressing up
and leaving my world for one night. I get to be who ever I want to be. Then I realized
getting dressed up doesn’t have to stop there.
You can bet
your red lips that the fashion world definitely picked up on this trend! But
how?
Drop waist
everything!
1. Skirts
(All of the following pictures are from Atlantic-Pacific)
2. Shirts
3. My personal favorite - Dresses

I honestly haven't picked up anything that has a drop waist. I can't wait to pick up a dress and a skirt. Share with me your pictures of anything drop waist you have styled!
Tons of love,
Brenda
