BrendaOffDuty Styling Thrifted Clothes

This dress is a fairytale waiting. A vision. A love story.

I found this amazing dress at a local thrift store. The ruffles initially caught my eye. With its polka dot print and large shoulder pads, I date the dress to be from the 80's. The chiffon material is to blame for a few tears and loose seams. Luckily the ruffling hides away any imperfections and really only adds to its charm. The dress has a high neckline and a low v-neck back so what I did here was flip it around. The thick black zipper in the middle of the dress facing the front gives it a unique and modern look. I hiked up the side of the dress to give it a little thigh action and amp up the flirtiness.

When I first laid my eyes on this beauty I envisioned it in a field of flowers with the sunbeams shining light through its sheer fabric.

What can I say? Nothing is as exciting as finding true love at the thrift store.
